Welcome to my new spot!

Hello friends & family! I am so excited to create a fun & easy way to share my life with you! I was inspired to create a "blog" this week as I have some great news to spread....I found out Friday, February 1st that I have been accepted into UNC's School of Public Health to pursue a Master's in Public Health through the department of Maternal & Child Health!!!!!!!!!!

I am slowly recovering from an intense case of SHOCK, not that I'm not extremely excited & overwhelmingly thankful....I just had no idea I would find out so soon that THE top public school of public health would except me into the #1 Maternal & Child Health program in the nation, world even! Wow, wow, yes I am feeling incredibly blessed and have to praise the Lord for this great opportunity.

My passion for mommies & babies has evolved in ways only God, Himself could forsee ... from "Banda" my baby doll to babysitting through college to orphans in Uganda still etched on my mind & heart to supporting my friends now having babies of their own....and now pursuing a degree that will enable me to impact the health of women and children in major ways. There is a very good chance that I will get the opportunity to gain my Lactation Consultant certification while at UNC as well, something I have grown very passionate about over the past year.

Funding is certainly on the prayer list now, I have a goal of making it through the next two years debt free - by pursuing scholarships, grant, research assistantships, part-time jobs, more babysitting....whatever it takes to avoid loans.
